PM Imran Khan invites world's oldest PM to Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan made a maiden telephone call to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad  and discussed bilateral matters. During the phone call, both leaders agreed to extend cooperation in various sectors, while PM Imran Khan highlighted the significance of bilateral ties between Pakistan and Malaysia.
 
Exchange of delegations between two countries is very essential, PM Imran Khan added and invited the oldest serving leader of Malaysia for a state visit to Pakistan. An invitation that Malaysian leader has accepted and assured Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Pakistan soon.
 
PM Mahathir Bin Mohamad extended congratulatory remarks to PM Imran Khan on electoral victory and assuming the office of chief executive of Pakistan. The prime Minister of Pakistan appreciated the initiatives taken by Kuala Lumpur to ameliorate the economic scenario of the Southeast Asian country.
 
At present, Pakistan's economic situation is highly tumultuous, the new Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government recently announced its decision to approach IMF amid severe criticism from opposition parties for taking a U-turn on the issue.
 
According to Guinness World Records, Mahathir bin Mohamad, at the age of 92 years 141 days, is the oldest current Prime Minister having been born on 20 December 1925.
