Ahsan S. Razzaq

Originally from Kamoke, district Gujranwala, Ahsan S. Razzaq was brought up and studied till intermediate in Karachi since his father’s rice business is in Karachi. In 1988, he left for United States for higher education where he gained his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. He went on and completed his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 1993, the year he returned back to Karachi.

Upon return from United States, Ahsan got married and started working for Procter & Gamble in Karachi. In 1998 he was transferred to Jeddah by Procter & Gamble and ever since then he has been living in Saudi Arabia.

In 2001, he left Procter & Gamble and moved to Riyadh to join Henkel. He worked for them till 2003 when he decided to set up his own consultancy business. Same year He registered his company in UAE but continued to live and operate his company from Riyadh.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Consultant: Providing product launch feasibility to multinational and national companies for new products and markets. He is currently working for a client to launch their products in a new location.

Supply Chain Consultant: Providing supply chain solutions to companies. Currently he is implementing integrated planning process to Turk Henkel, A.S. in Istanbul and Izmir, Turkey. He is also providing consultancy in finding the most optimum toll manufacturing source for private label products for Panda retail chain of the Savola Group in Saudi Arabia.

Trainer: Conducting management trainings such as Time Management, Presentation Skills, Effective Business Writing, and Team Building etc. to clients. Current clients include Bahrawi Trading Company, Jeddah Saudi Arabia, the distributors for Henkel Products, Evian Water and many famous international brands and Gulf Carton Factory in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Project Management: Lead consultant teams to deliver projects of process mapping and business feasibilities for clients.

He has trained client’s staff on Project Management via “Project Management Training” and on-going coaching.

Process Mapping: Conducted business process mapping for Saudi Ceramics and made recommendations and conclusions.

Conducted business process mapping for Turk Henkel, a FMCG company, for Sales Forecasting Process, made recommendations and implemented recommendations.

Developed series of KPI’s related to business and specifically to supply chain for Turk Henkel.

Supply Chain Process Mapping: Conducted full supply chain analysis for MGC, Damascus, Syria, a FMCG company, documented findings, drew conclusions and implemented recommendations. Developed and implemented KPI’s.

Conducted a Purchasing and Procurement review, made recommendation and implemented the concepts such as Strategic Materials Review (SMR), Service Level Agreements (SLA), contracts management and cost savings projects.

Organizational Setup: Proposed a new organization setup for Saudi Ceramics to achieve business results.

Implemented a new organization based on the process mapping for supply chain for Turk Henkel.

Other Work Related Achievements:

Nominated corporate trainer for ‘Individual Effectiveness’ and ‘Memo Writing’ based on strengths in these areas. He has achieved 4.8/5.0 rating as a trainer for memo writing course and 4.6/5.0 for Individual effectiveness.

He is trained as a P&G Quality Assurance (similar to ISO certification) auditor, trained on Purchasing Fundamentals in a five day training course in Belgium, trained on SAP order processing module and reporting systems.

He has led recruitment and hiring of Finance and Supply Chain personnel and has trained new company hires on P&G’s systems.

Skills:

Excellent operational knowledge of PC based soft wares MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Lotus Notes.

Excellent programming knowledge in MS Excel using Visual Basic and Excellent operations knowledge of BPCS and SAP.

He has fluency in Urdu, English, and restricted conversational ability of Arabic. Ahsan is blessed with three children, a son Shahzad and two daughters Abeera and Daniya.
