Eur. Ing Zafar Iqbal is an embedded software architect/software team leader by profession. While enjoying a distinguished academic and professional career he acts as a Consultant to major World Player companies in UK and Europe. He graduated from University of Birmingham with honours degree in 1977 in electronics and communication engineering. He also holds post graduate diploma from Huddersfield University in electronics and computer based systems design in 2004.
He works on the software of new product development from concept to delivery. He has acumen for both defence and commercial sectors. He has designed and developed software which became part of delivery to the products like Airbus A340, Boeing 777, Network Elements (PDH, SDH, ATM, SONET), 3G Handset, instrument cluster for Volks Wagan and Fiat, Engine Control Unit (ECU) for Renault Megane, SCADA system, Gamma Drop Box Monitor (for atomic weapon research establishment), internal and external communication system of Royal Australian nuclear submarine and monitors in the intensive care units and process industry.
He has the honour of working for Ministry of Defence (MOD) UK, Department of Defence (DOD) USA, German Government, defence projects and Civil Aviation Authority (UK).
He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), international Professional Engineer IntPE(UK) registered with Engineering Council UK and has also been given a title of Eur.Ing (European Engineer) by FEANI (European Federation of National Engineering Institute in Brussels). He has also been elected Fellow Royal Society of Arts FRSA.
This title is chartered by the European Union (EU) and approved and ratified by the UK Privy Council and have approved and recognised 20 years experience by FEANI. He is also a chartered Fellow of British Computer Society, Member of Institution of Engineering and Technology, Member of Institut of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and Chartered Information Technology professional.
Eur.Ing Zafar has worked on R & D projects on new product development or enhancement of existing products with major world player companies like Seimens, Alcatel, GEC Marconi, GEC Plessey Telecommunication, Ford Visteon, Johnson Control, TRW, Rockwell Collins, Civil Aviation Authority, Deutche Airbus, Ericsson, Plessey Controls, Remsdaq, Polymer Laboratories, Solartron Mobrey, Nortel Networks, BNR(Bell Northern Research), Nokia, Swiss Telecom and Pifzer. He specialises in Embedded Software development and has experience of the entire Software Life cycle using C and C++. He specialises in some Microprocessors and Microcontrollers.
