The last couple of decades have seen a marked shift within the UK's Pakistani community with the children of the earliest migrants now occupying important positions within the professions. There are no professions that one can think where Pakistanis have not become involved. Yet the growth in the number of Pakistani professionals is a very recent phenomenon. Mian Ibrar Hussain is a prime example of just how far our community can go in a short time given the determination to succeed.

Currently the Assistant Manager at Deloitte working on Audits for multinational organisations including Santander, Morgan Stanley and Bank of Beirut, Ibrar Hussin was born in London (UK) with parental roots in Pakistan. Ibrar went to Haydon School for his primary education where he also represented the School in both the Football & Cricket Teams in each year group.

He then excelled in his studies at Warford Grammer School (Advanced Extension Award: Mathematics - Distinction) and continued this trend when he went on to study at the prestigious London School of Economis and Political Science (LSE) from where he got BSc Maths & Economics (Hons) in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics in 2010. While at LSE he also represented the University Football Team.

Ibrar has completed the Professional Stage of ACA qualification. He earned the following Additional Honors & Awards; Distinction in Advanced Extension Award for Mathematics (2007) and Silver Award in the UK Mathematics Challenge (2004)

Subsequently during his training at Delaware North Company as Team member employed to set-up & run a snack bar during match-days, Served customers, operated the cash machine, maintained clean working standards and proper inventory controls, Trained and supervised new and less experienced employees and Carried out end-of-day till reconciliations.

Ibrar Hussain's key skills and interests include IT Skills where he is Highly Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook. He is Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi & Punjabi and Basic in French, Italian and Arabic.

Ibrar is continuing from playing in university and school football & cricket teams, he enjoys playing weekly 5-a-side league football matches. As well as this, he plays numerous other sports like tennis, squash and cricket. This has helped him to keep healthy whilst building on his team building skills.
