Pakistan is indeed blessed with talent and huge human resource which is a signal for the bright future of the country. Pakistan government should encourage the youth in their endeavours to excel and create conducive environment so that they can achieve their potential.
We don’t have to travel too far back in time to realise the amazing accomplishments of its young talent. In fact the last few years have been surprisingly outstanding for its achievers, and it’s clear that our new generation is pioneering the future success of Pakistan.
One such example of outstanding achievers is Muhammad Mohsin Ali, a private student from Hafizabad district, the overall topper, who secured 688 marks out of 800 in BA examination. He is also believed to break all previous records of the Punjab University.
Muhammad Mohsin Ali comes from a financially poor background and used to work at a tandoor to support his family. He lived in a hut and struggled very hard to continue his studies. While his fellows slept or watched TV, Mohsin Ali used to study. During the hours of load shedding, which earned him up to Rs.400 a day for bearing his study’s expenses.
After securing 1st position in the Punjab University, Mohsin Ali became the talk of the town and everyone seems proud of it. According to him he studied at home for only six months for a two years’ undergraduate programme and out smarted all the regular students who studied at various degree colleges affiliated with Punjab University.
The whole nation celebrated the achievement of a poor genius; the President, Prime Minister, governors, and the chief ministers all showered praises along with cheques worth millions. Muhsin Ali, wanted to do MA in English and then PhD from the Punjab University and appealed to the Punjab government to support him for his future academic activities.
Punjab Chief Minister Mian shahbaz sharif met Mohsin Ali and presented him a cheque of 1 million rupees to enable him help himself and his siblings to continue their studies. Chief Minister also awarded him a house at Aashiyana Housing Scheme, besides instructing the concerned officials to arrange for his higher studies on Punjab government’s sponsorship. This is how Nations are built, this is the true dignity of labour exclaimed the highly moved Chief Minister, listening from the BA topper how he had to struggle to achieve the exemplary success.
Mohsin Ali's graduation result has rung a timely reminder with regards to the richness of talent in our country. If a nation can dig out a topper from within the scorching heat of a tandoor, then we know there are some serious diamonds waiting to be unearthed from within its reservoir.
Mohsin Ali is not merely a testament to the aptitude in this country it also showcases a tale of sheer perseverance and determination. If one can take time out from serving the nutritional needs of others to have the craving for food for thought and shows the drive in the young man with his eventual target being CSS examinations.
