Arif ur Rahman graduated in computer science (BS - Hons) from University of Malakand, Chakdara, KPKH, Pakistan, in 2007. He loves to experiment his own ideas and has always struggled to maintain an approach of expending independent effort in his entire endeavor.
Since he believes computer science is one of the fastest growing industries and has more space for applying ones ideas and thoughts, he would like to continue in making his career in the field of computer science.
At present Arif is working as a Researcher in the project “Data Warehouses for the Long Term Preservation of Institutional Electronic Records and Databases” at INESC, Porto in Portugal to complete his PhD.
While studying at University of Malakand, Rahman also did a project on “Appointment Management System”, for company called Sehat Consultancy in Islamabad, Pakistan. After completion of that project, he presented thesis to the Examination Section of University of Malakand for partial fulfillment of his degree.
The software he developed helps in getting complete data of employees through a questionnaire over the web and ultimately reflects the complete history of the individuals. Then the data is utilized for the well being of employees to manage the records of medical examinations etc. The Software has facilitated the Sehat Consultancy in understanding individual health problems of the employees and has brought more business for the Company. On the other hand, the coverage of the Sehat Consultancy has increased three fold due to this Software.
Arif Ur Rahman’s interests include internet surfing, meeting with people, visiting different places and enjoying the natural scenes.
