Asif Khan, who first arrived in UK in 1988, is a BME Network Co-ordinator with Kirklees Council. His role is to develop arts for every section of the community in Kirklees. In 1989, he has worked as an Immigration and Welfare Rights Advisor in Bradford.
 
He was also appointed as a radio presenter and Sales Executive of Sunrise Radio in Yorkshire.
 
In 1992, an organisation called Pakistan Kashmir United Forum [PKFU], with the aims and objectives to project and promote, Pakistan and its culture in UK was formed and Asif was elected as the Chairperson of PKFU.
 
PKUF works in association with Bradford Council, local businesses, community organisations and media groups to coordinate several high profile seminars, exhibitions, community forums and major in door and outdoor Festivals. Asif is the event organiser and the main fund raiser of all these events and projects.
 
Born in Hazro in the district of Attock, Pakistan Asif Khan after completing his Mechanical engineering has the honour to work at Dr. A. Q. Khan Research Laboratory at Kahuta.
 
Asif was event organiser of the largest golden jubilee celebrations outside Pakistan, which was held on 14th August 1997 (attendance 25,000 and was reported widely on British media) at centenary square, Bradford. He has been coordinator of "Afghan Mercy Mission" in 2002 and was in charge of supplying and distribution of 20 truck loads of oil, flour and rice to Jalozai and other refugee camps in Pak /Afghan border areas with a team of 50 volunteers from UK and Pakistan.
 
Asif Khan has always believed that it is equally important to be involved in helping the community and that work, while important, is not the only purpose of life and is always ready and very keen to do all kind of charitable works, helping family, friends and needy people.
