Consul General Syyid Ayaz Hussain was born and brought up in Tando Adam, District Sanghar in Sindh Pakistan and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1985. His first foreign appointment was in Embassy of Pakistan in Madrid, Spain in 1989 where he served for three years and then from 1995 to 1999 he was posted in Embassy of Pakistan Riaydh, Saudi Arabia.

From 1999 to 2002 he served in Embassy of Pakistan in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and from 2004 to 2007 he served at Consulate of Pakistan in Bradford, UK and held regular surgeries to Sheffield, Newcastle upon Tyne and Middlesbrough so that consular services could be provided locally to the applicants. Since 2007 he is serving at Pakistan Consulate Barcelona, Spain.

Syyid Ayaz Hussain believes that it is pointless for Pakistanis abroad to deny the strength of influence of the indigenous culture but parents should encourage the understanding and comprehension of the original culture so that children can be proud of their backgrounds and understand where they are coming from and where they are going.
