Currently the Head of Chemical Pathology, Dr Aysha Habib Khan graduated in medicine (MBBS) from Dow Medical College, Karachi in 1989. She became Fellow of College of Physicians and surgeons (FCPS) in 1999. She is also Consultant Chemical Pathologist, Associate Professor, Section of Chemical Pathology, Department of Pathology and Microbiology and Associate Professor, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Department of Medicine, at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi.
Dr Aysha's professional associations are with International Osteoporosis Foundation, The International Society for Clinical Densitometry, American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, Executive Council Pakistan Society of Chemical Pathology, Pakistan Society of Chemical Pathology, Association of Clinical Biochemist, UK, Association of Clinical Pathologist, UK, Pakistan Research Society of Pakistan and Pakistan Society of Endocrinology.
In 2009, Dr Aysha was awarded 'Outstanding Teacher’s Award', at Aga Khan University. Her research interests include; Vitamin D, Bone and Mineral Disorders and Osteoporosis and has many publications to her credit.
