Dr. Hasanat sharif is a specialist in Adult Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Surgery. He graduated from Dow Medical College, Karachi in 1984 and has the honour to be awarded Rhodes'Scholar Oxford University England from 1985 to 1988. He then did the General Surgery Residency at Universities of Oxford, London and Southampton between 1988 to 1992.

After the completion of General Surgery Residency Dr. Hasanat got Cardiothoracic training at Universities of Manchester, Southampton, London, Oxford and Massachusetts.
 
In 1990, Dr. Hasanat did his FRCPS from Glasgow and subsequently FRCS from London and FRCS from Edinburgh in 1992.
 
Dr. Hasanat Sharif's special Interests are in Cerbral and myocardial protection during cardiopulmonary bypass, Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy as a research tool, Minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass surgery, Minimally invasive vein harvest techniques and Total arterial revasularization.
 
Dr. Hasanat has also worked at Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery St. Vincent Hospital and University of Massachusetts.
