Dr. Khalid Sohail, who is a psychiatrist, poet and writer earned his degree in medicine (MBBS) from Khyber Medical University, Peshawar in 1974 and completed his residency in Psychiatry at Memorial University, Newfoundland in 1982.

Dr. Khalid Sohail, who is a psychiatrist, poet and writer earned his degree in medicine (MBBS) from Khyber Medical University, Peshawar in 1974 and completed his residency in Psychiatry at Memorial University, Newfoundland in 1982. From 1983 to 1995 he worked in psychiatric hospitals in Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Ontario.

In 1995, Dr. Sohail, who has a wide range of interests and passions, left the hospital to open the Creative Psychotherapy Clinic in Whitby, Ontario. Dr. Sohail has presented many papers at professional conferences in various countries. Following are the details of his papers;
