Dr. Tanveer ul Haq has 21 years of experience in engineering and research in microwave, wireless, data, and optical communications. He received his Bachelors degree in Avionics Engineering from College of Aeronautical Engineering, PAF, where he also earned the Sword of Honour, along with other academic honours. He got his PhD from Purdue University, USA in 1995 and has completed two Mini-MBA Courses.
Dr. Tanveer-ul-Haq has worked as Assistant Professor in University of Delaware USA and College of Aeronautical Engineering, PAF. He also worked with Com-search, a Wireless Consulting Company in US. He was with the Wireless Networking Division of Lucent Technologies Bell Labs from 1997 to 2003. At Lucent Dr Tanveer was responsible for design, optimization and network performance management of CDMA, TDMA and 3 rd Generation Networks.
Dr. Tanveer-ul-Haq achieved the rare distinction of being appointed Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and later Consulting Member of Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs for his contributions in TDMA and CDMA technologies.
Since March 2004 Dr Haq has been an adviser to Higher Education Commission for IT and PERN (Pakistan Education and Research Network). He is a Senior Member of IEEE and Executive Committee Member of IEEE Islamabad Section. He is currently working as a Wireless Technical Consultant.
He has authored more than 20 papers in refereed conferences and journals. He also has to his credit three US patents; one of the patents is on a Human Resource Management system. He is heading Wi-Tribe’s Technical Team as VP Technical Operations.
