Malik Ahsan Ahmad Jamil

With parental roots in Pakistan, Malik Ahsan Ahmad Jamil was born on August 29, 1989 in Rotterdam. Right handed batsman and Right Arm Medium bowler, Malik Ahsan is a Dutch cricketer. He played for the Netherlands in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament.

Malik made First-class cricket debut against Scotland on 21 June 2011. He also made debut for the Netherlands national cricket team in One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals.

His Twenty20 International best bowling figures of 5/19 was against South Africa in ICC World Twenty20, 2014 when Malik wrecked a formidable South African batting line up which couldn't get going after they were put into bat.

Career-best bowling by Netherlands pacer Malik Ahsan Jamil put obstacle for South Africa in scoring freely as they were restricted to 145 for nine in the 20 overs in a Group match of the Super Ten Series in the World Twenty20.

Jamil captured five wickets for 19, his career best bowling figures in T20 international cricket. This was also the best bowling figures by any bowler from an associate member against a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

His father Muhammad Jamil Malik is a former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from NA 107-Gujrat.
