Maryam Abbas is an award-winning Industrial & Product Designer from Pakistan, internationally recognized for her contribution to inclusive and educational design. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), SADA, in 2019.
She has contributed to Set Design at PTV News, Pakistan's national television network, gaining early creative exposure in broadcast media. She has also worked as a Designer at Orenda/Taleemabad, an award-winning edtech company creating accessible educational solutions for children across Pakistan.
Her thesis project Neurocle, an educational toy created to support children with cerebral palsy, won the prestigious MUSE Design Award 2023 (USA) in Product Design - Educational Tools. This achievement made her the first Pakistani student to receive this honour, bringing global recognition to Pakistan's design and innovation community.
Maryam's work focuses on human-centered, research-driven, and socially impactful design. Her commitment to accessibility, child development, and support for children with disabilities has been appreciated both nationally and internationally. She is also an International Member of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), representing Pakistan on a global platform for design excellence.
She continues to explore design innovation that creates meaningful change and aims to play a leading role in strengthening Pakistan's creative and cultural economy through inclusive design practice.
