Professor Ellahi M. Ishteeaque is originally from Bhera District Sargodha, Pakistan. He graduated with Bachelor of Science degree from University of Punjab in 1962, and then earned Bachelor degree in Architecture (Summa Cum Laude) from UET Lahore in 1967. He taught for three years at UET before moving to Jacksonville, Florida permanently; where he worked with Reynolds, Smith and Hills Inc. (RS&H Inc.) as an architect and later as Director of Design till 1980. His clients for architectural projects include Walt Disney World, Orlando; Sea World, Orlando, Hayat Regency Hotels, Southern Bell, Montgomery Wards Stores, private clients and Atlantic National Banks to name the few.

He went on to get his Master of Arts in Architecture degree from University of Florida in 1976; and same year and he passed nation-wide board exam; and secured his architectural license to practice in Florida and corporate membership with American Institute of Architects., Washington D.C. He has earned design awards and honorable mentions for his architectural projects. He was a member of design teams for Tampa International airport and Raleigh Durham airport while working with RS&H Inc.
 
As registered architect, Ellahi Ishteeaque has worked in South Asia, Middle East and USA. His built architectural projects can be found from Florida to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Currently he is a Professor of architecture at KFUPM, Dhahran; and has taught architectural and planning studies at this institution since 1980.
 
Professor Ishteeaque has traveled extensively and sketched on locations in ink and watercolor in at least four continents. His artwork has been exhibited in numerous art shows and festivals in Florida and Middle East. His work is in private collections from New Zealand to Brazil. His poetry is published on internet and in three anthologies in USA. Presently he is engaged in Sumi-e and ink painting.
 
Professor Ishteeaque finds himself interested and deeply engaged in creative activities as architect, educator, illustrator, poet, culture enthusiast, planner & designer. He has published in journals and done editorial work on theme issues and has several published books in his areas of strength and study. His book on Traditional Architecture of Saudi Arabia, which is heavily illustrated with hand drawn drawings and artwork-both in ink and water color, is in final print at this time.
