Hailing from Lahore, Zafar Rizvi graduated (BA) in Economics from Punjab University Lahore, then gained an HND in Business Studies from City of London Polytechnic in United Kingdom and subsequently earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix, USA.
He has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REX American Resources Corporation since June 2, 2015 and has been its President since June 2010. Rizvi has been the President of Farmers Energy Incorporated since 2006. He served as the Chief Operating Officer from June 2010 to June 4, 2015. He served as Vice President of REX Stores Corp. since 2006.
Zafar Rizvi has served as a Vice President of Loss Prevention at Rex Stores Corporation from 1991 to 2006. He has also served in the video retailing industry in a variety of management positions from 1986 to 1991. Since 1998, he served in alternative energy projects, including ethanol, for Rex Stores Corporation.
He serves as Director of NuGen Energy, LLC, as a Director of Patriot Renewable Fuels, LLC, Levelland Hockley County Ethanol, LLC, and Big River Resources West Burlington, LLC. He has been a Director of REX American Resources Corporation since 2015. He serves as a Director on other ethanol entities. He has been a Director of One Earth Energy LLC since June, 2007.
Zafar Rizvi, who currently serves on the board of directors of One Earth Energy LLC, NuGen Energy LLC and Big River Resources, all ethanol companies has previously served as COO and Vice President of Loss Prevention. He also managed the company's alternative energy interests. He also serves as a President of Farmers Energy Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of REX.
