Zameer Mohammad Choudrey, BA (Hons), ACA, was appointed the Group Chief Executive for the Bestway Group’s global business interests. Zameer, graduated from University of Kent, Canterbury, with a degree in Accounting. He trained with a leading UK firm of Chartered Accountants and qualified as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1985.
He joined Bestway Group as Financial Controller in 1984, and in 1990 he was promoted to the position of Group Finance Director. In1992 Zameer was given the additional responsibility of heading the Information Technology and Human Resources Departments.
In1995, he was made in charge of business diversification both in UK and Pakistan and, consequently, promoted as Chief Executive Officer of Bestway Cement Limited.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board Audit Committee for United Bank Limited (Pakistan’s 3rd largest bank with a global presence and deposits of approximately US$ 4 billion).
Zameer is also a member of the newly constituted Board of Directors of Batleys Ltd and a member of Economic Affairs Committee of the Confederation of British Industry.
He is a Trustee of Bestway Foundation UK and Pakistan.
