Chicken Haleem

Chicken Haleem Recipe in English:Ingredients:-Water 2-3 liters -Jau (Barley) ¾ cup soaked overnight-Gandum /Gehu (Wheat) 1 & ¼ cup soaked overnight-Baking soda ½ tsp-Oil 2-3 tbs-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 2 tsp-Boneless chicken ½ kg-Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tbs or to taste-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) 1 tsp-Hari mirch (Green chili) Chopped 1 tbs-Namak (Salt) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste-Dahi (Yogurt) 1 cup-Pyaz (Onion) Fried 3 tbs-Chicken cubes 2-Namak (Salt) If required-Pani (Water) Boiled (optional)-Garam masala powder (Whole spice powder) 1 tsp-Jaifil & javitri powder (Nutmeg & mace powder) ½ tsp-Chat masala as required-Oil -Pyaz (Onion) Sliced 1-Pyaz (Onion) Fried-Hari mirch (Green chili)-Hara dhania (Green coriander)-Adrak (Ginger) julienne -Chaat masala 1 tsp or as required-Leemo (Lemon)Direction:-In pot,add water,barley,wheat and bring it to boil,let it simmer for 30 minutes.-Add baking soda,cover and cook till tender (approximately: 1 & ½ hour).-In wok,add oil,ginger garlic paste,boneless chicken,fry until it changes color.-Add red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,green chili,salt,yogurt and cook until chicken is done.-Add fried onion,mix well,shred cooked chicken and set aside.-Blend barley and wheat mixture until smooth,add cooked chicken and chicken cubes,mix until well combined.-Add salt and boiled water if haleem is too thick (optional) and blend again.-Add whole spice powder,nutmeg & mace powder and chaat masala.-In frying pan,add oil and onion,fry until golden brown,add fried onion in haleem mixture and mix well.-For garnishing,add fried onion,green chili,green coriander,ginger,chaat masala and lemon juice.Chicken Haleem Recipe in Urdu:Ajza:-Water 2-3 liters -Jau (Barley) ¾ cup soaked overnight-Gandum /Gehu (Wheat) 1 & ¼ cup soaked overnight-Baking soda ½ tsp-Oil 2-3 tbs-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 2 tsp-Boneless chicken ½ kg-Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tbs or to taste-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) 1 tsp-Hari mirch (Green chili) Chopped 1 tbs-Namak (Salt) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste-Dahi (Yogurt) 1 cup-Pyaz (Onion) Fried 3 tbs-Chicken cubes 2-Namak (Salt) If required-Pani (Water) Boiled (optional)-Garam masala powder (Whole spice powder) 1 tsp-Jaifil & javitri powder (Nutmeg & mace powder) ½ tsp-Chat masala as required-Oil -Pyaz (Onion) Sliced 1-Pyaz (Onion) Fried-Hari mirch (Green chili)-Hara dhania (Green coriander)-Adrak (ginger) Julienne -Chaat masala 1 tsp or as required-Leemo (Lemon)Directions:-Pot mein pani,jau,gandum/gehu dal ker ubal anay dein,halki ancch per 30 minute kliya paka lein.-Baking soda dal dein aur dhak ker paka lein (approximately: 1 & ½ hour).-Karhai mein oil,adrak lehsan paste,bonless chicken dal ker rang tabdeel hunay tak paka lein.-Lal mirch powder,dhania powder,haldee powder,hari mirch,namak aur dahi dal ker chicken pak janay tak paka lein.-Fried pyaz dal ker ache tarhan mix kerlein,chicken ko resha ker ka side per rakh dein.-Jau aur gandum ka mixture ko smooth blend ker lein, cooked chicken aur chicken cubes dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.-Namak aur boiled pani (optional) dal ker dubara sa blend ker lein.-Garam masala powder,jaifil & javitri powder aur chaat masala shamil karein.-Frying pan mein oil aur pyaz dal ker golden brown hunay tak fry ker lein,fried pyaz ko haleem mixture mein dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.-Fried pyaz,hari mirch,hara dhania,adrak,chaat masala aur lemon juice sa garnish karein.
